At the last minute the artistic director switched and decided to do these two shows in rep. The bench is an exact replica of the NYC subway benches.
Ride the Cyclone
This was our student theater company's production of Ride the Cyclone. We borrowed the sign and booth, but everything was my design and construction. I am particularly proud of the proscenium arch, Venetian curtain, and cyclone tracks hanging in the air.
Noises Off
I got to assistant set design and take the lead on constructing Woodstock Playhouse's production of Noises Off summer 2022. it was incredibly challenging to make sure the entire thing spun around and had 2 levels and 7 functional doors.
Set Construction
- Interpret working drawings
- Follow the lead of the TD and Master Carpenter
- Able to lead others and problem solve projects without supervision
Set Design
- Collaborate with directors and entire creative team
- Adapt to changing circumstances (2x had to redesign for a new show in a week)
- Find the happy medium between artistic vision and physical constraints (time, budget, man power, space)
